Official inauguration IEEE Communication Society conducted at 10/04/2015. Today, IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) is a leading global community.The IEEE Communications Society is  community comprised of a diverse group of industry professionals with a common interest in advancing all communications technologies. To that end, the Society sponsors publications, 
conferences, educational programs, local activities, and technical committees that:Foster original work in all aspects of communications science, engineering, and technology. Encourage the development of applications that use signals to transfer voice, data, image, and/or video information between locations. Promote the theory and use of systems involving all types of terminals, computers, and information processors; all pertinent systems and operations that facilitate transfer; all 
transmission media; switched and un switched networks; and network layouts, protocols, architectures, and implementations.And strongly advance developments toward meeting new market demands in systems, products, and technologies such as personal communications services, 
multimedia communications systems, enterprise networks, and optical communications systems
This chapter inaugurated by Dr. Jitendranath Mungara, currently Working as Dean 
PG studies – R V College of Engineering, Bangalore. Dr. Mungara completed two 
Phds from Andra University 

1. PhD in Computer Science system Enginering
2.  PhD  in Electronics 

 Dr. Mungara has 25years of experience of academics, research and industry.Dr. Mungra worked in industries like CMC, ZEE –India, Northwest 
airlines – Minnneapolis,  Motorola-Texas. He Worked as Principal AMC Engineering College, Bangalore, BTLIT Engineering College, Bangalore, YDIT Engineering College, and Bangalore. He has published 75 papers in national, international conferences and International Journals.
Dr. Jitendranath Mungara officially inaugurated the IEEE Communication 


Society Vimal Jyothi Chapter, followed by a Talk on “Advancements of Signal processing and Industrial Applications of Internet of Things”. Our Chairman Rev.Fr.Geo Pulikal, Principal Dr. Benny Jospeh, HOD Prof. Roshin T.V, Communication Society Counselor, Asst.Prof. Jubin Sebastian E and student chair Mr. Sajeer deliver speech during inaugural ceremony.In the afternoon session we have organized a Guest Lecture "Mathematical Modeling" by Prof. Ragavendra Prasad of RV College of Engineering, Bangalore.

Looking at the growing importance for the Information Security, Department of  Electronics and Information Technology has identified this as a critical area. Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project was formulated and launched for over a period of five years. One of the activities under this programme is to widely generate information security awareness to children, home users and non-IT professionals in a planned manner. C-DAC  has been
assigned the responsibility of executing this project by Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. As part of this activity, C-DAC, has to prepare the Information Security awareness material, coordinate with Participating Institutes (PIs) in organizing the various Information Security awareness events.ISEA(Information security Education Awareness) program is about creating 
awareness among students/faculty/family member/Organizations on how we have to secure the information when we are connected to Internet. What are the possible threats and how it can be misused by hackers.As part of this program C-DAC Bangalore  will  conduct a guest Talk on Internet Security on 9th March 2015 from 10 am to 12 pm. Chief Technical Officer Mr. Shamjith K V, from C-DAC banaglore will handle the session. This Guest Talk is organized by Department of ECE in association with IEEE Communication Society and ISTE








animated gif MEMORANDUM (MOU) AGREEMENT FOR ACADEMIC COOPERATION VIMAL JYOTHI ENGINEERING COLLEGE AND RV COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, BANGALORE





Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Kannur and RV College of Engineering, Bangalore signed MOU on 27/01/2015 to establish relations between the two institutions, hereby agree to cooperate with each other in areas of mutual interest. the purpose of this Agreement is to develop academic and educational cooperation and to promote mutual understanding between the Institutions.Both institutions agree and shall endeavor to promote collaborative activities in
academic areas of mutual interest on a basis of equality and reciprocity, which shall include but not be limited to the following:
a) Exchange of academic information and materials
b) Promoting other academic cooperation as mutually agreed
c) Utilization of Laboratory
d) Exchange of faculty, researchers and other research administrative
e) Conducting collaborative projects and research collaboration
f)  Conducting lectures and organizing symposia

MOU Signing conducted at Principal’s office of RVCE Bangalore. Our Principal Dr. Benny Joseph and Dr. B.S Sathyanarayana, principal RVCE signed the MOU on behalf of both the institutions. ECE Department faculties Mr. Jubin Sebastian E, Jayesh George and Jerrin Cyriac of ME Department attended this. Followed by this our faculties visited RVCE Research lab and discussed the possibilities of mutual research. We hope this MOU will bring a research culture at Vimal Jyothi.

       The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Vimal Jyothi Engineering College, Chemperi is organizing National Conference on Signal and Image Processing (SIP 2014), on August 23, 2014.The purpose of national conference on signal and image processing is to explore the latest advances in each of the above, identify further research areas and bring together academicians, researchers, designers, developers and practitioners, who are interested in its vast applications. The forum will also provide opportunity for interactive discussions and fruitful and concrete recommendations

ELECTROBITZ, The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department organized an event in association with ‘EAGLES’ on 21st   August 2013. Mr. Melvin Mathew, of S7 ECE welcomed the gathering. Ms. Shahin Thomas, of S7 ECE, explained the rules and regulations of the competition. This event was conducted exclusively for S3 ECE students. There were 7 teams with 2 members each. The competition kick started at 4:15pm at ECE lab. The first round was the circuit designing round. The competition was a total of 45minutes which also consisted a second round of quiz questions. The judging panel was Mr. Adarsh K.S, Mr. Vinod J. Thomas, Mr.Binil Kumar, and Mr.Jubin Sebastian.Mr.Jeril Jose and Ms.Shahin Thomas were the coordinators of this evening program.Mr.Adarsh K.S Asst.prof.ECED was the staff coordinator.
